5. Setup and Wiring
Before proceeding, ensure the power source is disconnected to prevent electrical shock.
5.1 Wiring the Receiver
Connect the DC power input and the electrical appliance to the receiver's terminals as shown in the diagram below. The receiver has clearly labeled 'DC Input' and 'DC Output' terminals.
Figure 5.1: Basic wiring diagram for the receiver unit.
Ensure all connections are secure and properly insulated. The high-power terminal is designed to withstand a 40A current, but proper wire gauge should be used for your application.
5.2 Pairing the Remote Control (Latched Mode)
The product is typically pre-set to Latched Mode. If re-pairing or changing modes is needed, follow these steps:
- Press the learning button on the receiver 3 times. The indicator light on the receiver will flash, indicating it is in learning mode for Latched Mode.
- Press the 'ON' button on the remote control. The receiver's indicator light will flash once, then turn off.
- Press the 'OFF' button on the remote control. The receiver's indicator light will flash once, then turn off.
- The pairing is successful. Test the remote control by pressing 'ON' and 'OFF'.

5.3 Resetting the Receiver
To clear all paired transmitters from the receiver's memory:
- Press the learning button on the receiver 8 times.
- The receiver's indicator light will flash rapidly, then turn off, indicating all paired remotes have been cleared.
6. Operating Modes
The AENTIA receiver supports three operating modes: Momentary, Toggle, and Latched. The default and recommended mode for this specific product (as shipped) is Latched Mode.
6.1 Latched Mode (Default)
In Latched Mode, pressing the 'ON' button on the remote control turns the connected device ON, and it remains ON until the 'OFF' button is pressed. This is ideal for applications requiring a persistent ON/OFF state, such as lights or pumps.
6.2 Other Modes (Advanced)
While the product is pre-set to Latched Mode, the receiver supports other modes. Refer to the manufacturer's website or advanced documentation for instructions on configuring Momentary or Toggle modes if your application requires them. Momentary mode typically means the device is ON only while the button is held, and Toggle mode means each press of the same button alternates between ON and OFF.
7. Applications
The AENTIA Wireless Remote Control Switch is versatile and can be used to remotely operate a wide array of electrical devices. Its high current capacity makes it suitable for demanding applications.
- Lighting: Control indoor and outdoor lights, including LED spotlights, chandeliers, and general room lighting.
- Pumps: Remotely activate water pumps for irrigation, fountains, or pool systems.
- Household Appliances: Manage various appliances such as electric fans, coffee makers, and other devices requiring remote power control.
- Security Systems: Integrate with wireless security alarms or ventilation devices.

8. Maintenance
To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your AENTIA Wireless Remote Control Switch, follow these maintenance guidelines:
- Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the receiver and remote controls. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Battery Replacement: The remote control uses a CR2032 battery. If the remote's indicator light does not illuminate or its range decreases significantly, replace the battery. Ensure correct polarity when inserting the new battery.
- Environmental Protection: Keep the receiver in a dry, well-ventilated area, away from direct sunlight, excessive heat, and moisture.
- Antenna: Ensure the receiver's antenna is extended for optimal signal reception.
9. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your AENTIA Wireless Remote Control Switch, refer to the following common problems and solutions:
-
Device does not respond to remote:
- Check if the receiver is properly powered and wired.
- Ensure the remote control battery is not depleted. Replace if necessary.
- Verify that the remote control is paired with the receiver. If unsure, follow the pairing instructions in Section 5.2.
- Ensure the remote is within the effective operating range and there are no significant obstacles (e.g., thick concrete walls, metal structures) blocking the signal.
-
Device turns ON but immediately turns OFF when button is released:
- This indicates the receiver might be in Momentary mode. The product is designed to operate in Latched mode by default. Please re-pair the remote control to the receiver following the Latched Mode pairing instructions in Section 5.2.
-
Reduced remote control range:
- Check the remote control battery.
- Ensure the receiver's antenna is fully extended.
- Minimize physical obstructions between the remote and the receiver.
- Avoid sources of strong electromagnetic interference.
-
Receiver indicator light not working:
- Check the power supply to the receiver.
- Ensure wiring is correct and secure.
